Things to do

There are lots of things to do in Ashbourne and the local area.

Gateway Lodge is located just across the road from the start of the Tissington Trail, a 13-mile off-road cycling and walking rail through the Peak District.

It’s just a short drive or bus ride into the Peak District, where you could visit the beautiful Dovedale stepping stones, climb Thorpe Cloud, or wander around pretty villages.

Ashbourne itself has a great independent cinema, leisure centre with swimming pool, and The Link Centre will be holding regular events.

There are also lots of great places to visit including Alton Towers, Chatsworth House & Peak Wildlife Park.
