Our Rooms

Our new, comfortable, rooms all have an en-suite shower room. And, of course, you have access to our shared spaces, giving you plenty of room to relax.

We will have the following rooms, which can be booked individually or as a group:

One en-suite bedroom sleeping two people in a bunk bed
One en-suite bedroom sleeping three people (1x bunk bed, 1x single bed)
One accessible en-suite bedroom sleeping four people (2x bunk beds), which has a wet room
Two en-suite bedrooms sleeping six people (3x bunk beds)
Two en-suite bedrooms sleeping seven people (3x bunk beds & 1x single bed)

Shared Spaces

Gateway Lodge is for people wanting more than just a stay in a hotel room. Our comfortable shared areas give you space to relax, as well as all of the practical things you need.

The new facilities include:

A beautiful, light & airy lounge, in a new extension which will overlook the community garden
A dining area, with space for everyone to have a seat, whether you’re self-catering or having a takeaway
A completely new kitchen, with two cooking stations.
A drying room & laundry – because we know that it sometimes rains!
Secure bike storage
Access to the community garden (scheduled to open Summer 2026)
And, of course, free Wi-Fi

There will also be board games & books to borrow, plus a couple of OS Maps in case you need to plan an adventure.

We’re located right in the centre of Ashbourne, with lots of nearby facilities, including a Sainsburys within 4mins walk, plus lots of independent shops, cafes, takeaways and leisure facilities.

There’s a drop-off point immediately outside Gateway Lodge, and a very reasonably priced public car park within 50 metres (less than 2 mins walk), offering overnight parking for just £1 (6pm-8am), and all-day parking just £2 (8am-6pm). If you’re travelling by public transport, Ashbourne Bus Station is within 4mins walk.

Ashbourne’s Gateway Lodge is the perfect for groups of all sizes, including family groups, walking, cycling & outdoor sports groups, youth organisations, school groups, church groups and residential workshops.

We also have a wide range of spaces available to hire, including three brand new meeting rooms and the three refurbished halls with capacities from 50 to 300 people.
